About ALBORADA

The story of this group dates from 1984, when Sixto Ayvar founded “Alborada” in Ocobamba, his hometown. Sixtucha (Sixto Ayvar) spread his music, mainly inspired in the Andean folklore, out to German lands, where he finally settled down in Cologne. It is there that his musical talent, and ear of musician got widened by all the genres and styles that mingle in a cosmopolitan city, giving a different sensitivity to all instruments regardless its origin. The Andean traditional music is modernized and renewed in Alborada's hands and voices.

The impulse and support of Manuelcha Prado and Julio Humala were of invaluable help at their beginning.
But many other names, as well as experiences and nationalities, were part of the constellation of “Alborada”. With all of them, the group has experimented and tried different musical forms, but always keeping its particular style, moving from the strictly traditional to fusion and to meditation music. In “Tropical”, there is an approach to contemporary, dancing rhythms, while on “ Melodías del Corazón” (“Melodies of the Heart”) and “Melodías Inolvidables” (Unforgettable Melodies”), popular western rhythms are explored.


It was with Victor Valle and Lennin de La Torre’s arrival, that new sounds were brought to Alborada. These new rhythms and styles were incorporated from their native communities, and were added to the experience of having visited different American and Canadian native cultures. This experience is clearly manifested in “Meditation”, where Alborada shows that its new rhythm and sound goes way beyond a simple stylistic issue, building cultural bridges between human groups capriciously and historically torn apart.

It is important to bear in mind that the traditional North and South American Indian traditions were both fed by the same source. That is why Alborada, and his adventurous and renewed spirit, wanted to reverse what European conquerors did, approaching traditions among these cultures.

It is in one on of its last productions “Caminos al Sol” o “Instrumental”, that vertiginous changes are experienced. New Easter musical instruments were incorporated, and a new whole look inspired in the apparels worn by the so called “Danzates de Tijeras” (Scissors Dancers), was created by Sixto Ayvar.

Despite the fact that Alborada has participated with different international groups such us the Bolivian “Savia Andina” and “Los Kjarkas”, the Peruvian audience recognition and support got  in March 2,004, in a Peruvian Musical Festival that took place at “Parque de Lima” after 22 years of having been founded. In this particular occasion, Alborada gathered twenty-two musicians, among them Willber “Cebollita” Ayvar.

Alborada is not only a folk music group, it is also a new artistic proposal whose performance includes music, dancing, visual features in each of its presentations, turning them into an artistic, novel event.

It is important to highlight the smooth incorporation of the guitars of Ronald Contreras, Oscar Cavero (Armando Manzanero’s guitarist) and Felipe Pumarada, (Eva Ayllón’s bass-string player). We can also mention César Lescano, (Gianmarco’s drummer), and Kike Herrera and “Gigio” Parodi, Eva Ayllón's, percussionists, as well as Hugo Bravo, a Grammy awarded winner along with Susana Baca. All of them have shown how gifted they are to internalize the Andean art. There is also tenderness in the choral voices of July Pumarada, Claudia García and Julio Zavala. The classic and modern notes are finely stressed by César Pacheco in the cello, María Elena Pacheco in the violin (from the National Philharmonic of Peru), and the direction and conduction of Iván Raffo Lazarte.

In the final count we already have more than 16 productions; where there is much talent, airs of innovation, and deep love to our roots and culture. Alborada will go hand in hand with those who like them and listen to them.

音乐优美的想哭。倘若有一天要离开这个世界的时候能够听着这样的音乐坦然离去,我也就瞑目了。
孤独一生,唯音乐令我感动和优美,说不清到底谁是谁的知音,却愿这般平静地相守一生,无怨也无憾。

古老的印第安音乐没有现代文明的华丽装饰,他们的智慧很简单,就是征服自然,享受欢乐,他们的欢乐很简单,人与人之间没有隔阂,只有倾情的歌唱与舞蹈,所以他们的音乐也都是身体的节奏,自然的流露,是热情的漾溢,是心绪的飞扬。

灿烂与平静也不过就是一线之隔,公余之暇我宁可享受孤独,简单自然的欢乐,一斗香醇的烟草,一碗碧绿的静冈绿茶,心绪倘佯在音乐的节奏中,洗涤了疲惫的身心,现实社会中的尔虞我诈已离我远去,

明天,永遠是美好的一天。。。。

排箫还是中国的乐徽,箫乐有种神圣的美,当年孔子听到箫韶的时候也赞叹其乐声“至善、至美”,道家更是以排箫为中国道家气质,庄子在《齐物论》中道,“你听过人的箫声,却未必听过大地的箫声,就算你听过大地的箫声,也未必听过天空的箫声。人的箫声无非是云箫、排箫……”庄子之意不在听箫声,而在于让人们抛弃人的立场感觉去听排箫,听万物,用自然的立场听排箫,听万物。达到悲喜皆抛,超然物外而又浑然万物的心境。

我真的希望以箫曲作为自己的安魂曲,我不知为何我能听懂它们,知道吗?反复地听,不住的流泪。
